Well, since Greg didn't let me carry out the booby-trapping method, I will divulge it to the public. The lady at the Dems office suggested that I chop or grind up a jalapeno pepper (or a hotter pepper would work even better), mix it with vaseline, and (using disposable gloves of course), smear the concoction on the sign wherever one might grab it. This way, the evil pepper juices would get on the skin of the perpetrator as well as in their car upholstery and wherever else it touches. Having gotten jalapeno juices under my fingernails and in my eyes before, I know its not a pleasant experience.

I thought it was brilliant, but Greg deemed it too mean b/c after the elections, sometimes Dem Party volunteers are sent out to collect signs.

Oh, and for another update...I counted 5 new Obama signs in my neighborhood after the raid, so that's another $50 toward the campaign. Way to let us have it :)

Okay, I've got to know what this sign booby-trap method is. We've got our sign posted in our window (don't have a yard) so it is safe, but I'm VERY curious.
PS. This post cracked me up.
